LYNC Institute Announces Vicki Bayer as Chief Executive Officer
APPLETON, Wis. - LYNC Institute is proud to announce Vicki Bayer as its next Chief Executive Officer, bringing decades of leadership experience, a deep commitment to people, and a lifelong belief in the power of relationships to create meaningful change.
Bayer joins LYNC following a distinguished career in education and public service, where she became known for her ability to unite teams, navigate complex challenges, and keep people at the center of every decision. Through ok out her career, she has helped build environments where individuals, families, educators, and communities can succeed together.
For LYNC, this announcement represents more than a leadership transition, it is the continuation of a story that began years ago.
Before LYNC existed as an organization, Bayer was a teacher who recognized potential in a student facing significant challenges. That student was Meredith Bieri, co-founder of LYNC. The belief, encouragement, and support Bayer provided during that season would leave a lasting impact, eventually helping shape the vision that became the foundation of LYNC.
"Some people enter your life and forever change how you see yourself and what is possible," said Bieri. "Vicki was one of those people for me. She believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself, and that experience continues to influence how we approach every person, family, and organization we serve."
LYNC's roots began in education through what was formerly known as LYNC Academy, a school-based program created to support students who needed a different path to success. Over the years, LYNC partnered with organizations including the Appleton Area School District, Pulaski Community School District, Oconto Falls School District, Wrightstown Community School District, Unity Recovery, and Northwestern University, helping individuals build confidence, strengthen relationships, and achieve meaningful outcomes. Those experiences became the foundation for what is now the LYNC Model of Care Framework, a framework designed to support people across homes, organizations, workplaces, and communities.
Today, LYNC has evolved into a growing ecosystem of solutions designed to help individuals, families, organizations, and communities create more consistent, coordinated support. Through the LYNC Model of Care Framework, LYNC @ Home, and its coach development programs, the organization equips people and systems with practical tools that help organizations and people learn, apply and inspect the LYNC Model of Care Framework.
"What drew me to LYNC is the belief that lasting change happens when people feel supported, connected, and empowered within the environments they move through every day," said Bayer. "The opportunity to help communities build stronger systems of support while remaining deeply human in our approach is both exciting and meaningful."
As CEO, Bayer will lead the next phase of growth for LYNC, expanding opportunities for organizations to implement the LYNC Model of Care Framework and strengthening partnerships across education, nonprofits, workplaces, community organizations, and families. The organization's focus remains clear: helping people build the internal capacity needed to create lasting change without becoming dependent on external support.
